Ingredients

  • 1 apple, cut into matchsticks (use a sweet apple such as Red Delicious, or a tart apple such as Granny Smith)
  • ½ English cucumber, chopped
  • ¼ sweet onion, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped fine
  • ¼ cup white wine vinegar or rice wine vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 


Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Serve immediately, or chill in refrigerator until serving.

  1. Salad gets a bit sweeter if dressed salad sets refridgerated an hr. or so .. nice surprise…
    Balsamic vinegar works nicely too!

    1. Hi Susan! From Debra’s post it sounds like she is making a dressing using the juice and zest of 2 lemons, olive oil (amount not specified), and salt and pepper to taste.
